As much publicity and as many problems as Toyota has had lately, I would still buy a Toyota over a GM car or Chrysler. The Obama administration has bought and paid for them with our money. The quality that has gone into Toyota cars and trucks has always been first rate. I believe that they are trying to make EVERYTHING electronic which is not a good idea. What ever happened to plan old gas pedal which is connected to the carburetor which let the gas go into the cylinders. I could work on that. Now there are no real connections except through a computer. The cars are all so light weight that a heavy wind will blow them off the road. I felt much safer in a big solid American car than I did in my Datsun 1200 sedan. Those were the good old days. I have a 2007 Tundra that is being recalled and my wife is driving it. She knows what to do at least. Put it in neutral.
I agree , truth be told .....I drive a Camry with 197.000 mile on it. That being said , I believe that Toyota wasn't being completely honest when it came to the number of mechanical issues that many of their models were having . Then this is nothing new , I mean even American car companies have been very guilty of this also over the years !
The latest cartoons and continued adventures of
G.D.Rico....
When the Sacramento Union recently closed its doors, award-winning artist, Greg Rico, started looking for a new outlet to express his creativity. Greg’s classical training in fine arts and illustration-combined with his penetrating political insight and sardonic sense of humor-naturally lent itself to the world of the cartoon.
Greg’s extensive travels as the proud son of a Navy Purple-Heart Vet have helped to form his deep-rooted conservative values and sincere love of family. A man who loves a good meal and a great story, classic cars and all-things aviation, his many friends agree that no one loves a joke or a prank more than Greg. And as long as there are Republicans and Democrats in Washington making fools of themselves—Greg Rico will always have an excellent source of material.
Greg currently resides in the greater Sacramento area with his three children.
